Gentle Yoga

January 01, 2020

Gentle Yoga is a singular passion for our Yoga Teacher and Massage Therapist, Sheila. Teaching a slower class with accessible movement means that students - even stiff, inflexible, and new students - can find their footing.

Includes elements of Hatha, Functional Movement, and Restorative Yoga.

Yarn Yoga

January 03, 2023

Sheila MacLean (Yoga Teacher) and Heather Sealey (owner of Itsy-Bitsy Yarn store) are collaborating to bring you the perfect way to keep your hands happy as you craft...
An hour of solid crafting sandwiched between two half-hour yoga sessions. Heather will be mingling to help you with your crafting, and yoga before and after will keep your hands (and the rest of your body) happy to enjoy crafting for a long while.

AcroYoga Jam

November 23, 2017

Acroyoga is a collaborative yoga practice that mixes yoga with acrobatics. These sessions are a chance for those interested in Acro to come out and play! This is not a formal class but a chance for you to come in and try your hand with a supportive community.

Rest & Digest

November 01, 2017

With the excitement of summer in full swing, we want to offer you a chance to relax, take a breath, and feel really, really comfortable.

Restorative yoga focuses on using props (especially blankets!) to encourage the parasympathetic,"Rest and Digest" process in the body. The practice helps you redirect your energy from the outside world to the internal processes of healing and digestion.** This makes it a perfect lunchtime class!

And, we keep it short so you don't have to worry about running back to work. ;)

Suitable to all levels including those with no yoga experience.

Partner Yoga Date Night

November 18, 2017

For friends and lovers! Bring someone special to this unique date night: enjoy
-a yoga sequence to centre you and get into your body,
-an introduction to therapeutic acro yoga, (a floaty massage on your partner's feet, like the picture!),
-a thai massage for your partner,
- a dual yoga flow to top off the evening.
We know this seems wild! But this is an introductory class that will be accessible to most anyone. Modifications, as with any class, will be made available.

Candlelit Restorative Yoga & Massage

January 01, 2020

The blending of massage and restorative yoga!
Come on a yoga journey (basically fascilated sleeping postures) led by Sheila as she provides massage. Let yourself sink into deep relaxation.

Creative Hatha Flow

January 01, 2020

A fun Hatha Flow class that takes elements from the world beyond the mat.
The flow will, as inspiration strikes, incorporate elements from other physical arts, like dance, martial arts, or fitness techniques. It will also acknowledge the seasons, and its effects in the north where the changing light asks for a unique rhythm.
Over the weeks, you might notice a progression: if we begin opening the hips a certain way, you can bet the next week you'll have a chance to deepen even more. The focus will shift to keep moving and growing in different ways, making for a bright and active class that allows you to fall into the flow, body, mind, and breath.

Desire Mapping

February 20, 2018

An introduction to The Desire Map: a guide to creating goals with soul

How do you want to feel when you wake up in the morning? When you get in the car? When you open the door at work? When you drop your kids off at school or take your dog for a walk? How do you want to feel when you walk into a room? Meet someone new? Have a creative breakthrough?

This question posed by Danielle LaPorte in the bestseller The Desire Map takes you to the heart of Desire Mapping and turns traditional goal setting inside out. Instead of talking about external goals, we talk about how we want to feel in the various parts of your life. Because when you get clear on how you want to feel, the pursuit of goals itself will become more satisfying.

This workshop is an introduction to the Desire Mapping process. It’s a soul limbering process so you can start to tap into your feelings and get a sense if you want to go further. Because everyone deserves to have their deepest needs met, just because you showed up to life.

Tuesday, February 20th at 7-9pm

$25 for the Workshop alone and

$75 altogether if you also sign up for the Soul limbering classes for the following 4 weeks!
